I first heard about Golden Malted Waffle mix here on Amazon when I was searching for a new waffle maker and saw that on pratically every maker this mix was recommended. After reading up on the mix and finding out that it is the same mix served at various hotels across the country, I decided to give it a try. I have to tell you that this is the best waffle mix I have ever had. From the moment you open the first canister and you get that malt smeel hits your nose, you know that this is going to be good. The flavor is great and it is not an overly sweet batter which makes it good for both breakfast and for using for dessert waffles with ice cream and fruit. Also I recommend using milk in place of the water when making the waffle batter. It makes for a much better waffle. So if you are on the fence about trying this mix do yourself a favor and order. You will not be disappointed.

Everyone I know loves this waffle mix. It makes wonderful waffles. I've shared this "secret" recipe with friends since I found out about it from a relative. Last year I even purchased some for Christmas gifts! The mix is so easy and does not require special ingredients. I even keep a can in our travel trailer. I would suggest you order enough mix to qualify for free shipping because it keeps very well in the pantry. The waffle mix is wonderful as is, but I plan to try making them with milk or soda water as some reviewer have suggested. Enjoy!

Having been a waffle lover for more than 80 years I feel that I am eminently qualified to be a judge of what waffles should taste like. Add to that the fact that I had, before retiring, been a Quality Control Manager for 42 years. I know Quality.
The only problem my wife and I had with the results was, she likes thin waffles and I like thick. We solved that problem by making a thin batter and made her's and we then added some more of the flour and made mine. That in turn made us overly delighted with the results.

Never having been satisfied we decided to try the mixture on a batch of pancakes and the results were SUPER. We have tried every kind of recipe I can think of and nothing, and I mean nothing compares with the waffles and pancakes we had with Golden Malted Waffle Pancake Flour.

The mix is a delight to work with and eating the waffle recipe is extemely appetizing. The Waffle mix calls for water, but I use Seltzer or Soda water, instead. It gives a more airy consistency to the batter, I believe. The mix's malt flavoring is tasty, too. The price is right and both the waffle and pancake recipes are a real breakfast treat!
