You just can't do any better than Murphy's Oil soap to clean wood. I've used this stuff for so many years and my mother and grandmother used it before me. It gets everything wood clean and leaves such a great scent too behind. It doesn't strip the wood and dry it out like most cleansers do, but instead, it replenishes it while cleaning at the same time. I've even used this on my hardwoo floors and they look gorgeous. I wouldn't ever buy anything else out there the clean my wood. Period.

Great product for cleaning wood, has been for many years. My kitchen cupboards were very oily from hand grease (my husband won't let me put handles on them), and this product did an excellent job at cleaning them.

I've been using this to clean my leather saddle and my leather boots for years now. My saddle is in fantastic shape still and after using this (and some leather polish) it is show ready and so shiny. I would never use anything else on my leather (do not use it on suede though). I have a dark oak table that requires a wood cleaner. The others all left it looking dingy and dull. This stuff, which is cheap, smells nice, and is so non-toxic that you only need to drink some water if you swallow it, cleans and shines better than any of the others out there. Highly recommend you keep this in your cabinet. It will last you forever too.

Murphy Oil liquid soap is the very best you can get when you want to clean wood--even wooden floors, just as the other reviewer correctly notes. This stuff goes a long way and you don't need to use lots of it in order to clean--just pour some into a bucket of water, mix the two for just a minute or so and voila! There you have it--a great liquid solution for cleaning wood surfaces and wooden floors.

This product can, according to some people I know, also be used to clean leather. However, I personally haven't tried this one. If you want to try it, just clean a very inconspicuous area of the leather so that if it doesn't satisfy you nobody will notice.
