The Darkness II is the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2007 release The Darkness. Inspired by the popular comic book series produced by Top Cow Productions, Inc., The Darkness II is an intense first person shooter that delivers a twisted and gripping narrative of tragedy, modern crime drama, and supernatural horror.
Players will be taken down the brutal and personal path of Jackie Estacado, head of a New York crime family and wielder of an ancient and ruthless force of chaos and destruction known as the Darkness.
The Darkness II stands out visually with its distinctive graphic noir style, and it is the only first person shooter to feature Quad-Wielding : the ability to simultaneously utilize four different weapons. It's been two years since Jackie Estacado used the Darkness to kill the men responsible for his girlfriend's murder. He's been unable to shake the memory of Jenny's death since bottling up his supernatural power and now the Darkness wants out.
A sudden, unprovoked attack on Jackie's life heralds the start of a full-scale mob war and opens the door for the Darkness to reemerge. The botched attempt sets Jackie on a journey to hell and worse as he unravels the mystery behind the attack and the motivations of the Darkness itself.

Very good game, a lot of fun with excellent choices, decent story - good shooter - and it is alittle different from other shooters with the Darkness theme. No problems with the Amazon download and a good price at that time.

When purchasing games, I really do not care about length as long as the game itself is fun. There seem to be too many run-of-the-mill shooters out there that have more lengthy campaigns, but they are nothing short of being boring. Thankfully The Darkness 2 does something that most shooters do not. This game provides a great story, interesting gameplay mechanics, and it actually brings the player into the story to root for the anti-hero. Shooters are a dime a dozen nowadays, but do not miss out on this amazing gem. You will do yourself a great disservice. Believe me, it is worth the time and money.

This game has me wanting more, its abilities and story I actually enjoy! And since they fixed the fov on the pc version this game is much better on pc!

Really fun game. It's only 6hrs long so you may want to wait for a sale, but it is a great 6 hours. It does have new game+ and some sort of co-op but I haven't tried it.

Good game done in a nice comic book style. The only thing I don't like is that it is somewhat repetitive and that amazon uses steam for its downloads.

Short, but worth the money. Great game. I was surprised how short it is. If you expected a long story line and complicated, this is not for you. Its all simple, yet elegant.
