Directions
Transitioning to WellnessIt is important to slowly transition your pet from his/her current diet as it takes a few days for the body to adapt to the new nutrient levels. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness by day 7. Combination Feeding:Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Wellness believes in feeding dry and wet food in combination whenever possible to help increase the level of water in your dog's diet.

I have a very picky Chiweenie (chihuahua/mini-dachshund) that loves this food! I tried a few Purina varieties, the Petco brand, several flavors of Blue Buffalo, canned foods - you name it. Finally we have a winner with Wellness! She's maintained perfect weight/health since the switch, has more energy and I've even noticed her coat being extra shiny. I would recommend this to the pickiest of eaters. No more tricks getting her to eat, she literally eats the minute I fill her bowl and wants more. So glad we found this stuff!

I use this product exclusively for my toy breed dogs. My dogs all do very well on the product. I am a Prime member so find I can purchase the product and have it delivered to my home for less than I could purchase it going to a pet store.

My Maltese has allergies and this food doesn't irritate him. He will eat the food when he is hungry. He doesn't inhale the food so I do not believe he finds it particularly tasty but he doesn't refuse to eat it. I never tried it so I can't claim first hand knowledge of its flavor.

Usually after a new kibble is introduced, even with gradual transitioning, dog vomits right after meal time for a few weeks. But he has not vomited once after 2 weeks of this kibble. Switched from Blue Buffalo because of the protein to grain ratio and also quality of ingredients. Well worth the upgrade in terms of cost per pound.

I have four dogs...two large and two small, all different breeds; I started on the Wellness because of the King Charles Spaniel I inherited ate it well, but now all of my dogs eat it, and happily so...It is worth the price to me because they seem so healthy, and visits to the vet are kept to a minimum!!!

I have two small dogs one weighing almost 20lbs and the other 7lbs. They both like this food. At first I fed it dry but they like it much better in warm water which makes it like gravy. They go crazy over it like that. Sometimes I top it with Wellness can food for a change. I'm pleased because they are pleased. I like the size of the food because it seems that they can chew it easily and and it digests well making their bowl movments healthy.

I started my dog (daschund) on this food because of a skin problem. Since changing (I had used Purina One for sensitive systems), she has had no problems with scaling and redness on her back and legs. She has had no issues with liver but does drink more water which is probably a plus for her skin as well. I will be using Wellness Small Breed from now on.

Pricey, but worth it. Great nutrition. My dog transitioned to this food with no problems. No bowel changes for her. She loves this food and actually is a better eater now that we switched to this.

it's hard to find really healthy food for dogs even in the stores. when we discovered this brand we were so happy and then we realized how hard it is to find it in the regular stores and we would end up driving to several ones before being able to find it. we were so happy to see that we can have it through amazon!

I have a 3 yr old toy poodle that has never been able to gain weight due to a liver disorder the vet has never been able to pinpoint. No matter what I tried to feed him, he has never weighed more than 2.5 lbs, no energy, listless, thin coat and no matter how interested he seemed at first to diet changes or supplements, he quickly lost interest and barely ate. Being an extremely gentle and friendly dog, I feared he would not live a happy, normal life.
Wellness small breed has been my dog's life saver!! He just finished the first bag and the change is remarkable! He now weighs almost 4 lbs, his coat is fuller, he is spunky and energetic like the young 3 yr old he is. It is not often one tries a new product and sees such obvious positive results.
