Now, for the first time, players can see true depth of their environment without the need for special glasses. Super Mario is a 3D evolution of classic Mario platforming featuring new level designs and challenges.

Mario can perform a rolling somersault attack or run fast with a dash move. Or, as Tanooki Mario, he can use his tail to hover, perform floating jumps or attacks.
New enemies include Goombas with tails, tall stacks of Goombas and a Piranha Plant that spits ink to obscure a players view.
New and familiar abilities add unique game-play strategies to the adventure
3D visuals make it easier for players to judge the depths and distances in their environments. Players can more accurately judge the jump to the next platform or how far Mario is from a question block.
The Circle Pad gives players complete control to confidently move Mario through fun and challenging environments.

This item is a real cool game my dad accidently bought it thinking it was playable on the dsi but he didnt get me a 3ds(which he will be for me in purple on 12/18) but a friend of mine let me borrow her system to play it and it was AMAZING i got to play 2 worlds and i was suprised to see how awesome this game is. I wuld recommend this game for any mario game lover.

I'll begin this review with just one statement: Buy this game. Super Mario 3D Land is one of the main reasons to own a 3DS even a year after its release, and is definately one of the most fun and beautiful 3DS titles to date. Another installment in a heralded franchise, 3D Land is nothing new, yet fresh and incredible. 3D Land has several strong things going for it, and with only a few weaknesses, deserves its praise as one of the best games for the 3DS.

The best part about this game is the 3D. It is not like a normal game for the 3DS. It lets you play in 3D mode and has a feature where if you press the control pad it lets you choose how much 3D besides the 3D slider. It also has some parts in the levels where it purposely makes mario pop out at you. If you are going to get a case for this think again! Most cases I've seen don't work with the charging dock and limit some features. The best item to protect it that I've found is the [[ASIN:B004VD430K Nintendo 3DS invisibleSHIELD, Full Body - Maximum Coverage]. It lets you use your 3DS as if it isn't even on!

OMG i loved this game. This the first game i have played on the 3DS and yes, it was worth it. Super Mario 3D Land was so fun and ridiculous and i enjoyed playing this game until the very end of the game. Fun for all age groups.

This game is one word AMAZING but this is in depth so i will go in detail. The plot is the same mario plot Bowser captures Peach blah blah blah. Anyways the game is fun and gets challenging about world 6 if you are getting gold on every flagpole and are trying to get all the star coins. After you beat the first 8 worlds youunlock the special worlds which are extremely difficult.Overall this game is a must buy for any 3DS owner and is worth the 40 dollars.
