Great theme By Smiles (Oklahoma)
I love the the theme and plot of this game. It's one of those games that you don;t get tired of playing over and over for quite a while.
Great deal By Adam
This game is a lot of fun! I was hesitant to buy it when it first came out. I got it through Amazon for $7, and this game's fun value is worth more than that!
Bravo, great game By Darin Bellisario
Great game, was able to recapture the magic of the original with polished execution and capturing the subtleties of, for example:
- Good dialogue (not hackneyed) with choices that are actually compelling (any of them are reasonable, realistic responses) and have real impact (on how you play/items you receive/how you feel about your character) without hamstringing the game with 'incorrect' choices. The personality analysis system works well too, especially with the dynamic npc responses to your dialogue choices.
- a parallel (not purely sequential) RPG system that allows you to establish your playstyle from the beginning and gradually build towards improving it, while also enabling and rewarding making your character 'balanced' to handle a variety of situations (being able to stealth and hack effectively are important even for the most gung-ho builds).
- fun, non-repetitive stealth and combat mechanics.
Awesome sci fi action By Michael H. Kunsman (SJ, CA)
Most publishers that advertise the freedom of a multi choice approach towards obstacles in their games are usually not entirely accurate. I find deus ex refreshing in that almost every facet of every mission I had at least 3 ways to accomplish a goal, depending on my play style and chosen skills in game. The freedom to use your abilities is paired greatly with an excellent sci fi tale of a near (and not all too unbelievable) future of cyber enhanced super humans and world changing corporate espionage.
When not partaking in the main story line, absorbing the world around you through side missions, e-books, emails and just taking in your surroundings is a great way to gain the full efforts taken in making the world of deus ex: human revolution. It isn't perfect, stealth can be flawed at times, boss fights are somewhat ridiculous and main protagonist Adam jenson sounds like a bad Clint Eastwood imposter, but it's an excellent game none the less I've never played any other deus ex game, and can't attest to how well it stacks up to its predecessors, but I did enjoy playing through the story, twice so far, and definitely a third time coming.
Great game By Brien Miller (Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada)
I had played this game at a friends, and I liked it, plus it went on sale for a great price, so now I own it, and man, am I happy.
Excellent game By Browland
The game play is excellent and the story is just interesting enough to keep you wondering. The dialogue is a bit cliched at times and the stop-motion animation was obviously not well-planned. But this is still a game that will keep you entertained for hours.
Great game By J. Ackerman
Deus Ex Human Revolution is a great game and an awesome extension to the original Dues Ex universe. I have been having a lot of fun sneaking around in this game's world!
Solidness By Average Person (USA)
Deus Ex is a game worth your time. Had a blast playing this game but it is not as good as Mass Effect 1 2 or 3. If you have the time it would be well spent on Deus Ex. a good buy if you have 20 hours to put into the game other wise save your money.
