Tera is a subscription-based* fantasy MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) game for play on the PC that blends traditional MMO RPG elements with Action combat like no game before it.

In the persistent game world of Tera, players can work alone or form groups and join guilds, but regardless of the approach, players must fully control their characters using the game's dynamic battle system in order to succeed. Additional features include: a customizable user interface, seven races with access to eight character classes, engaging PvP combat, and a three-continent wide game play area to explore.

Quest structure is nothing new and mostly collect, kill, deliver quest but the combat system is incredibly fun and diverse with all the classes and so many things to try. The combat is SO fun and will keep you coming back.

The dungeons are an awesome unique experience as the mechanics really do involve skill and you feel there is more of an emphasis on learning and doing better then just trying to get better gear (which there is a lot of in this game and looks awesome!).

Great character customization, incredible graphics, great diversity in gear, every race can play every class, really fun combat system, and an open world MMO? I don't see how you can't even TRY it with the free trial available. Give it a shot at least :)very good game and if you don't want to pay for subscription you can collect enough gold in the game and buy chronoscrolls (which give you 30days added to your account).

They've been selling 1-3k gold on the auction houses which is actually not hard to get, I've been playing since launch and still have 50 days on my account thanks to chronoscrolls :)

The best mmoArpg ever since EQ! I played EQ, DAOC, WoW, FFXI, FFXIV, LotR online, D&D, etc, nothing on the market can beat it in terms of gameplay! It has the graphic of FFXIV + user friendly UI & quest system of WoW + fun gameplay of Monster Hunter! definiately try it out if u r a true action game & RPG lover!

TERA is an amazing game. It has lots of quests, a huge map spanning 3 continents, a revolutionary combat system, great graphics, etc. As of 2012-06-08, there's no battlegrounds or raids, which is a huge killer for many people. However, they are promised for late summer release. If you want PvP now, you might wish to hit a PvP server (do note that you can NOT transfer to a PvE server later, at least not now).

If any of you ever played Phantasy Star Online this is the spiritual successor. Timed, skill based combat with big ass monsters (BAMs) and delicious delicious loot. Can't recommend it enough.
