Best Nerf Gun Ever! By A Kid's Review
I bought this and I am super suprised! It shoots really far and fast. But a four star rating in durability because the assault grip kept coming off. But it's a really good gun!

Wow! Unbelievable Range for Nerf Gun By Amazon Fan (TX USA)
OK, this N-Strike Elite "Retaliator" is really cool, according to my 9 year old who is quite the Nerf gun expert. I have to say, we were all surprised at the range of the gun...it fires really far. It is also easy to operate; the kid had it assembled and was terrorizing the household in no time flat. Great that it comes apart and the smaller sections turn into handguns...did I just say that?

The clip loads easily and does not jam, so kiddo hasn't been frustrated when loading/firing. The thing has been a lot of fun and our 9-year old gives it an enthusiastic thumbs up! All his friends covet his AWESOME gun! Also, he has owned it for over 2 weeks and has not managed to destroy it, so I'd give it good marks for sturdiness.

One of Nerf's best guns
This is one of the best Nerf guns I've ever toyed with, and I've played with nearly all of them. They say this gun is a 4 in 1 blaster, but there's only one way to use it effectively: in it's biggest rifle configuration. Nerf isn't lying when they boast about the ludicrous power and range of this rifle. It FLIES.

Whenever we have little Nerf wars in the street, you normally have to be in the same yard to shoot someone. You can shoot at people from two houses away in the rifle configuration. Anything else is far less accurate, and therefore much less useful, so stick to that. If you have kids with next to no pain tolerance be wary of this one.

This thing has enough power at short range that the kids don't like getting popped with it. It's a much better fit for teenagers/adults. My only real complaint with this gun is that it does tend to jam up a little more often. You won't put 75 rounds through it without it jamming, at least I haven't. It's still my favorite Nerf gun in my collection though, which means I recommend this one whole-heartedly.

Lots-O-Fun By D. R. Smith
As soon as my 11 year old grandson saw this in my arms he knew what it was. He's a Nerf aficianado and immediately knew how to assemble and play it in all the different configurations. I don't know why all the guns can't have the same bullets, or whatever they call the ammo, so they can be interchangeable, but he loves this all the same and announced it to be his second favorite Nerf gun.

A Fun Gun for Older Kids By Steven James (Washington State)
I wouldn't recommend this dart blaster for any child under 8 or 9 years of age. The darts come out pretty quickly and they shoot a long way...I would say 50 feet or more. It is the perfect size for young hands to play with, and is colorful which makes it even more attractive to children.

While this toy is quite durable, I don't see a lot of educational value other than instructing the kids to never aim at anyone's face or body...which will translate to any gun...real or otherwise. The little cousins played with it for about an hour in the backyard and they lost 2 darts over the fence into the neighbor's yard. Since I am currently not on speaking terms with that neighbor I doubt I'll ever see them again.

Overall, we liked this N-Strike Elite Retaliator Blaster better than our previous Nerf guns because the darts went further. The accuracy was inconsistent as we often missed our targets. It couldn't possibly be our marksmanship :-) A good, fun toy for the price.

Pretty much perfect for a thirteen year old! By Terri J. Rice (WA United States)
This comes with 12- just 12 darts- so go ahead and order some more right now! Twelve miserly darts for this. The 75 foot shooting distance means you will lose some- but it also means you can hit your target from a long way off. And the clip reload allows for rapid firing. This is a terrific gun for kids eight and up for sure.

Easy to use, accurate By moose (San Francisco, CA United States)
This toy gun works fine. It's accurate, easy to use and no one will get harmed by the darts, which are very soft. But then there is the design. It's really made to seem like a collapsible assault weapon, more than a bit like an Uzi. If you're happy with that, then this toy will work for you.
