great TV show but Amazon states something strange here about the Bluray product: it is one disc. Either this is a mistake or the sign of something unfortunate since all sites OTHER than Amazon list the Bluray as having 3 discs.
Astonishing Writing and Acting By Robert Cyr (Deerfield, IL United States)
HOMELAND, as a number of the reviews here make evident, is best appreciated by viewers who enjoy intricacy of plotting and serious acting. The two leads each deserved the critical recognition they received. Less subtle, less mature, less cerebral viewers had best stick with more action oriented stuff. They just don't have what it takes to enjoy HOMELAND. One of the best shows on one of the best TV seasons ever.

I started watching this series about a month ago. I was under the weather and a friend had mentioned it, so I checked it out. I watched 8 episodes straight, Manny and Claire WOW and Damian Lewis...incredible acting, was shocked at the end of lake house visit and on the edge of my seat for Brody's actions in last episodes!!! Claire Dane wow! So looking forward to seeing Season 2. Only keeping Showtime to watch Homeland.

I thought this was only going to be a one season deal. Turns out it's a mini-series with an extended life. One thing I don't understand however, and I found it almost irritating was how Brody's wife would refer to Brody AS 'Brody', and not Nick or Nicolas.

Watched the entire Season 1 in less than 24 hours! Stayed up all night...couldn't tear myself away! Riveting storyline and brilliant acting. Can't wait for season 2!!

Great show, great cast.... If your into the CIA, Clancy novels, etc... this is the show for you. The acting is superb.
