Players can compete in local wireless matches or online over a broadband Internet connection.
The game supports both SpotPass and StreetPass features.
Players can show their own style by customizing their vehicles with accessories that give them a competitive advantage. For instance, giant tires help a kart drive off-road, while smaller tires work best on city courses.
People can choose to race as one of their favorite Mushroom Kingdom characters or even as their Mii character.
The Mario Kart franchise continues to evolve. New kart abilities add to the wild fun that the games are known for. On big jumps, a kart deploys a wing to let it glide over a track shortcut. When under water, a propeller pops out to help the kart cruise across the sea floor.

This game is so fun with about infinite replay! The best way to play is online, which is amazing, but the single player is also fun when you're on the move! my favorite part is the cart customization, theres endless posibilities for carts! The stages are great and the retro are the best of the best! I kinda wish they had Baby Park from Double Dash where its 6 laps. The character roster is a little different, and not nearly as good as Mario Kart Wii's roster, but it has Metal Mario! All and all its a great game and $40 bucks is worth it!

It's fun to play with someone on multiplayer By B.R.E
Mario Kart 7 is a good game. I'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. Unlocking the parts in the game is fun and challenging. The real challenge is on online multiplayer, you could either race against some people that are easy or some that are experts like me lol. It does get repetitive when you are trying to get VR points in online multiplayer and you could be playing for hours online so it's good and overall its a good game to play with friends.

A fun game for any age. Mine came within the expected date range, so I'm very satisfied. I highly recommend getting this game if you're into the thrill of racing and making your friends hate you for abusing them with items to get to 1st place.

Having played Mario Kart DS, and having just recently purchased a 3DS, I decided to buy Mario Kart 7, knowing that it would be a blast. It did not disappoint, although I expected more after having played the DS version. This version does not have a Vs. mode like the DS version, which was one of my favorite aspects, and changed the Balloon Battle formula, which was my favorite mode in Mario Kart DS. Although this was disappointing, this newest title in the award-winning Mario Kart series is still one of the best games for the 3DS.

Quick review. I've been playing Mario Kart games since the original SNES games. This is true to the original and the series as a whole, an absolute blast to play. Loving the Street pass integration which gives you real people's ghosts to play against in time trials, essentially offline multiplayer. Haven't tried online multiplayer but I'm sure it is as good as it sounds. Just need to play at home rather than while commuting as I imagine it requiring a fairly stable internet connection.

If you are a fan of any of the Mario Kart games (or the series as a whole), this game is a must have! The graphics are FANTASTIC (with or without 3D), and the 3D works perfectly with the game! There are many old, classic tracks that make a return, as well as brand new tracks that are full of excitement and action! Trust me when I say, this is worth the money.
