My first set and loved it. Before in normal pencil. This helped me learn to use more types of tools which i likes espicially charcol. I highly would recommend this.

I've just started getting really into the detail of my drawings and was tired of using a standard number2 for everything so I got this set and it really is great. The pencils all feel really great and smooth and work well with their sharpeners or atleast the charcoal ones do. I can really put details and proper shading into my drawings now. I recommend it to any one who loves to draw.

Great for Beginners By Kei
This set of pencils is what I used when starting to draw, and this is a great set for any beginner. It is cheap and comes in variety of leads, but not every one, but gives a general range. (B-H, B being darker and H being lighter.) The two different erasers that come with this set is also great for starting artists. The knead eraser can be used for getting small spaces while the block eraser can be used for a big area to erase. I'm not very good with handling charcoal or using them in general, but it is great for those to experiment with to decide what tools they want to use for their drawings.

This is a great product.. amazing variation and comes with everything you will ever need, only complaints: the package is hard to open and cant be used as a case because it needs to be teared apart when opening, and it would be helpfull if the added a ruler to the package.

The Pro Art 18-Piece set, is great for the beginner to test his or her abilities in drawing. I decided to go colored pencils after testing myself with the charcoal and/or regular lead pencil drawings. Priced very reasonable.

Pencils may be pencils, but this is a nice, varied set of drawing and sketching pencils that will last you quite a while. I especially love the charcoal pencils included. They are great for doctoring up art journals!

I will start by saying that you fingers will probably be covered in charcoal and graphite just from opening the package. One of the pencils seems to be very powdery and will rub off onto your fingers on contact. Be warned.

The pencils have strong, smooth leads. The wood also seems to be very sturdy. The kit includes quite an impressive range of pencils to work with. Love the addition of both a plastic eraser and a kneaded rubber. I will definitely buy these pencils again when my new kit runs out.

A professional artist would probably want better drawing/sketching supplies, but for the price, this is an absolutely awesome set and no one has any right to complain about it. One could achieve a great variety of different types of artwork with this set. I had not used charcoal or some of the other items prior to buying this, and it is very fun to play around with. After a couple months of dabbling I will probably buy another set to refresh my stock.
