Max to the Max By Margaret Johnson
I picked up the first Maximum Ride novel just to preview for my kids. After three or four chapters I downloaded it to my Kindle. A year later I have read all of the books. I think they are a great series for teens... lots of action adventure, a little romance and sci fi creatures to titilate the imagination. Although the dialogue is sometimes a little awkward Patterson does a good job capturing the whole teenage angst thing.

I loved this book in the series just as much as the others. I love the new things happening to Max and the others, especially Angel and Max and Fang, but I get a kick out of Iggy and Gazzy's hijinx as well. I won't bore you with a plot summary as other reviewers are fond of doing that. Max continues to grow in this novel, as they all do, in more ways than one. The few surprises in this novel are somewhat deductable, but they're still fun. Even amid the action, it's very lighthearted with a few spots of teen angst this time, showing how Max is growing up with the rest of the flock. If you liked the previous novels in the series, give this one a shot. I don't think you'll regret it.
