I Need My Monster [Kindle Edition]

Product Description
A unique monster-under-the-bed story with the perfect balance of giggles and shivers, this picture book relies on the power of humor over fear, appeals to a child’s love for creatures both alarming and absurd, and glorifies the scope of a child’s imagination.

One night, when Ethan checks under his bed for his monster, Gabe, he finds a note from him instead: "Gone fishing. Back in a week." Ethan knows that without Gabe’s familiar nightly scares he doesn't stand a chance of getting to sleep, so Ethan interviews potential substitutes to see if they've got the right equipment for the job—pointy teeth, sharp claws, and a long tail—but none of them proves scary enough for Ethan.

When Gabe returns sooner than expected from his fishing trip, Ethan is thrilled. It turns out that Gabe didn't enjoy fishing because the fish scared too easily.

Favorite for me and the boys By Stacy
This book is fun and full of wonderful illustrations. I enjoy it just as much as the boys. Not scary at all, full of laughs.

My Art classes loved it By Nancy Cokely
Shared this book with some of my Art classes to give them inspiration as they were beginning to design their own monsters.

Crrreeeeaak! Look out! Pull in your toes By OneAkela (USA)
This is a hilarious book. It is written in a colloquial conversational style and is enjoyable for kids and adults who read to the kids. It is told from a little boy's perspective who is both apprehensive about having a monster and not having it under his bed. The part where the slobbering monster visits is a hoot! It will have both reader and child laughing out loud.

5 year old's favorite book By J. P. Connor
My son LOVES this book. We read it with voices, and he laughs every time. Great book for discussing monsters under the bed. Would not use for a kid who is very afraid of monsters, but for most kids who are a little on the fence, this is great. Also, felt like "well groomed" monster was a little bit of a stereotype, so am careful when reading that voice.

Wonderful story By thejnstvns
I stalked this book for over a year before finally buying it. It was the first thing I purchased after finding out I was pregnant. It has beautiful, vivid artwork and a wonderful, cute story line.

Awesome Book By RiXx!
Found this book on Amazon for a great price! I ordered the book for my kiddos and they LOVED it! There is not much to say but I do recommend the book for anyone with kids as it takes a fun approach to monsters under the bed.

Wonderful for the ENTIRE FAMILY By Whitney M. Mccullough (Indianapolis)
My 9 year old daughter read this book to our family last night. My 10 old son laughed at the humor. My husband laughed at where the original monster went. My 7 year old daughter squeaked with laughter picturing the various monsters with her eyes closed. She smiled happily, when she saw the amazing artwork. My five year old baby girl shrieked in glee. She had me read it to her again when we got home from daycare. It is an amazing book and I plan on purchasing it for my nephews.

Grandson loves this book By deb59
Our Grandson is afraid of the dark and also worries about monsters in the dark. This book seems to help and he looks forward to reading it before bed.
