Customer Reviews
Very satisfied By Tim
I was a bit worried about trying this brand, but at 6 for $13.50 I figured I'd give it a try. I have to say, it works just as well as any other, suds up great, and makes me feel good about myself to boot. You won't be disappointed.
Love this & it works! By Alexis Bartlo
I like this so much that I order it through Amazon's great Subscribe & Save program and share it with my two grown daughters. Smell is delicate and pleasant, cleans very well, and good for the environment.
This one works for me! By Damian Harouff
This product works great. I enjoy the scent, which you won't find in your usual dish liquid fare (as it says on the bottle, FROM FIELDS NOT FACTORIES). I also tend to get dry hands in winter, and this does not exacerbate the issue. You will probably end up using less than "normal" dish liquid; a little seems to go a long way.
Great as liquid hand soap too! By gooberdude
This is a great product. Suds up well for washing dishes. However, we also use it as a hand soap and it's great! We use it to refill our liquid soap dispensers.
Great scent By gloriarecycles
I love the scent. Sometimes with natural products you are limited to no scent or lavender...which is not for everyone, so it really is great that seventh generation has a good variety of natural scents out there, this one in particular. It washes well and is a good size to last you a month or so.
Works well By Wordup (Westminster, CA United States)
I like that fact that this soap doesn't have a strong smell and it cleans up dirty dishes well. The down side is that it's very liquidy. When I tilt it upside down, it's like water spilling out of a bottle. I tend to use up the soap much more quickly as a result of that.
Truly Free & Clear, no color and no smell. Perfect for allergy sufferer! By Linda Link (Batlimore, MD United States)
Seventh Generation Dish Liquid, Free & Clear is the only dish soap I will ever buy again. I tried Palmolive's version and it had so much fragrance to it, I had to give it away and have someone take time to empty out my sink's built-in soap dispenser! Seventh Generation Dish Liquid, Free & Clear does it RIGHT! No fragrance at all! It's great not only as dish soap but I put it in my new foaming dispenser (that I bought on Amazon Cuisipro Foam Pump ) and put it by the sink for when I just want smooth soft soap to wash my hands.
Can't Tell The Difference By M. Karazim (Lansing, MI)
Let me just start out by saying that I was not expecting much from this dishwashing liquid. This is the first Seventh Generation product I have purchased after seeing their products in several stores and always feeling a bit curious. I was using Dawn and was perfectly happy with it, but recently I have been on a "green" binge and decided to try biodegradable laundry detergent and dish soap. I read reviews that said this dish liquid doesn't suds up like Dawn or Palmolive, and that it doesn't cut through the grease and leave the dishes as clean. I have to disagree.
I have always been a person who uses "too much" soap when washing dishes, so I may use more than is necessary, but I found that the dish liquid had just as many bubbles, if not more, than Dawn. I love the scent, it is nice and doesn't smell fake or chemical like some of the regular brands. I compared a glass I washed with Dawn and a glass I washed with Seventh Generation, and they looked the same. I couldn't tell the difference! I even asked my husband to give his opinion about the amount of suds in the sink compared to Dawn, and he said it looked like there were more bubbles than normal. I use gloves, so I can't comment on how soft my hands were after using it. It is much cheaper on Amazon if you subscribe and save, since I paid over four dollars for it at my local health food store. Bottom line is that I like it and I will continue to buy it.
Excellent item, cleans well, economic By M. Su (Los Angeles, CA USA)
Whatever little bits we can do to help the environment we should, why not do it with a good product, reasonablly priced? Should subscribe to this and get a 15% discount, really good deal. 6 bottles is a bit much even for a family of 4 to use up in 6 months, I share it with my parents and it works out great.
Good Product By D. Hildebrand (USA)
Basic - simple - no perfumes - no fragrance and no adverse reactions for folks like me who are sensitive - Gentle enough to use as hand or body soap, even shampoo in a pinch, but still strong enough for dish washing. Highly recommended.
Great for dishes and more By V. Wiedemann (mid south USA)
This is a really good dish washing liquid. It also makes a great bubble bath liquid! For someone who hates showers, and doesn't want to soak in chemicals, that's good news. And getting one's dishes and one's self clean while not harming the environment means a lot. Go for it!
