If your clothes have started to smell not so fresh, it could be that your washer just isn't clean. Over time, dirt, grime and oils build up and don't come off in the washing cycles. Some of this odor cauing bacteria stays in the fabrics of your clothing! Affresh washer cleaner removes and prevents odor-causing residue that can occur in all brands of washers.

While bleach only kills odor-causing bacteria leaving behind the detergent residue, Affresh Washer Cleaner uses surfactant chemistry to remove the root problem. Affresh cleaner is a formulated, slow-dissolve, foaming tablet that gets under residue, breaks it up, and washes it away leaving the washer smelling fresh and clean. Simply place one tablet in the wash basket (without clothes) and run a normal cycle (hot option) or clean washer cycle. Affresh brand is environmentally friendly, safe on septic tanks, and safe for all washer components. Package includes three tablets.

I had my front loaders for about 5 years before I found these wonderful tablets. The first time I used them, I followed the Internet suggestion of running 3 seperate cycles (1 tablet per cycle) and using all three tablets right away; I was amazed at how well they worked. Now I use one tablet every couple of months to keep my machine fresh.

I have used Affresh in my front loading Whirlpool washer from the very beginning. I make sure to run a clean washer cycle with Affresh as soon as the indicator light tells me it's time. I have never noticed a musty smell in my machine or on my clothes. My suggestion would be to use it regularly and BEFORE you have an odor problem.

Affresh really works. Although my front-load Maytag washer did not have a smell, I just thought it needed some sort of cleaning after all the heavy usage we give it. I used to clean my old top-load Kenmore by periodically running a hot wash with a small amount of detergent (and no clothing), and that seemed to keep it fresh. I find that using one Affresh tablet is sufficient to clean the washer and leave a light, pleasant fragrance.

I stumbled across this product at an appliance dealer in February. My 4-year-old front-loading Kenmore washer had developed the mildew "stank" and I was ready to purchase another washer because nothing I tried previously had worked to remove the odor. I followed the instructions on the package of Affresh and placed 3 tablets in the washer for my first use of the product and the smell went away completely. I now use 1 tablet a month (as the directions recommend) and have not had a problem with the midlew smell since. I was surprised to learn that other reviewers thought the product did not work. I have recommended this product to all of my family & friends who have front-loading washers.
