Tifosi Tyrant Wrap Sunglasses

Product Description
Tifosi's Tyrant Fototec Eyewear are perfect for race day. The frames don't wrap around the outsides of the lenses, so you'll have unobstructed peripheral vision -- just what you'll need to see that attack coming from the back of the pack.

You'll also benefit from their ever-changing Fototec lenses. They'll change from light to dark in a matter of 10 seconds or less. The Matte Black frames come with Tifosi's High Speed Red lenses, and this means light transmission goes from 35% to 12%.

The Gunmetal frames might be better for slightly darker conditions or for someone who prefers a lighter lens. They transition from 75 to 25% total transmission. You won't squint as the light conditions change during your event, and you won't ever wish you'd snapped in that lens or the other. Both colors of the Fototec lenses offer 100% UVA/UVB protections as well. The Tyrant is an ideal option for riders with small-to-medium size faces, since they're just 131mm wide at the lenses.

Customer Reviews
Great performance for the price By Benjamin Pohl (Auburn, ME United States)
I wanted a pair of clear glasses for mountain biking, because it can get pretty dark riding through the shaded forest. I really wanted the obscenely expensive Oakley Radarlock, but I figured I'd give these reasonably-priced Tifosi a shot. They're GREAT. The photochromic feature is exactly what I needed--dark enough for the sunny ride to the trail, but light while I'm on the trail. I'd give comfort a 4/5, since the earpieces and noisepiece don't sit quite as comfortable as my Oakleys. But I'm generally happy and will probably try a few different Tifosi styles in the future.

great shades By A
I have another pair of these and got this tint to use in the cloudy winter weather. I'm a guy and have a medium size head and evidently a pretty thin upper nose. These are one of the few styles I can get to sit high enough to be able to see through and not over them while riding a road bike. This is due to the adjustable nose pieces.

Love these! By Fierce750
These things are EXCELENT quality, I got these for my birthday and am extremely happy with them and their clarity. They have replaced my near $400.00 Oakleys as my favorite glasses.

Great glasses and light weight By Lilkatzen
I bought these glasses for bike riding. The features I like are the way they wrap around my eyes giving me max protection against sun and debris. I also love how they automatically get lighter and darker when the surrounding light changes. That is great when you are riding in a tree lined area then move towards a clearer, sunny area.

Although they are light weight, they seem very sturdy. The red tint does not take very long at all to get used to. In fact, I can be outside and then walk into a house and totally forget that I am wearing these sunglasses.

Good value for the money By JR
The tyrants are a great pair of sunglasses. I have two pair. The reason i'm sold on them is because of they way they fit my face. I have a small head and finding the right pair is always difficult. So when i find a pair i tend to stick with them. I use them when i race mountain bikes and when i'm out wake boarding with my family. The do a really good job of venting so my lenses don't fog up. Best of all they are pretty cheap. Last summer i lost a pair to the lake. Thankfully, they aren't very expensive.

Great for active users By Tri_Austin
Purchased these sunglasses for running and biking. These glasses fit amazingly well. They do not move when running and the clarity of the lenses is amazing. The slight tinting when in the sunshine is just right. Love these glasses and do not go out without them!
