Great game. Great family entertainment. And it makes me think! You can get quite creative playing this. We have two sets in our home. When family comes for holidays-we need them both.

Friends in New Zealand introduced me to this game and I was delighted to get this larger tile version which helps with those whose eyesight is not the best any longer (most of those with whom I play). This really is a fun game and given the need to add up numbers in one's head, especially good, along with games like Scrabble and Jotto for keeping the dreaded Alzheimer's at bay!!!

This game is not only fun for a few, it makes for good entertainment for the whole family. Even though it's meant to be played by no more than 4 players, we ended up playing in teams of 2 so that everyone was involved all at once. My kids and grand kids loved it. I also think it's educational by having to deal with numbers and it keeps one's brain active (for the older crowd!). I'm not one for board games, but this is not really a board game, and once I was introduced to it I had to buy my own Rummikub.

The game consists of 106 tiles, ranging from 1-13 in four different colors along with two jokers that serve as wild cards. Players start with 13 tiles and the player that plays all of their tiles first wins. Plays may be made in runs of the same color or groups of the same number and different colors. Others can then play on the existing tiles, which can also be rearranged so long as you leave an intact group or run of at least three tiles.

This is a great game for the families with children 7 years and older. My 7 year-old and 11 year-old are learning to be creative with numbers, which is great and they frequently ask to play the game with mom and/or dad. We actually checked the game out from the recreation center on vacation because the girls wanted to play. It's just an overall excellent game.
