The VIOlight travel offers the consumer the same benefits of sanitization as the original VIOlight but in the convenience of a travel sized version. Many travellers are exposed to a higher risk of contamination of their toothbrush due to leaving it on a hotel sink or uprotected in a dopp kit.

The UV germicidal light bulb kills up to 99.9% of the bacteria, such as E.Coli, salmonella, and other harmful microorganisms. Researchers have found more than 10,000,000 bacteria can be living on a single toothbrush. Bacteria, molds, and fungi love moist environments which are commonly found in most plastic travel toothbrush holders. The ADA and most dentists recommend changing toothbrushes only every 3 to 4 months; however it is important to sanitize your toothbrush every day.

I have had two other brands of UV toothbrush sanitizers and neither of them worked as well as the Violight VIO200. I really love that it has the little suction cup on the end of the toothbrush too. It does exactly what it said it would and very well too.

I like that it uses AA batteries too. The other two used AAA's and they would not last over two weeks and I'd be replacing the batteries. So far I haven't had to change batteries once. Very pleased overall.

This sanitizer kill the bacteria on your toothbrush and even that is a good case carrier is you travel. I will buy couple of this for gift to my family.

My first Violight stopped working after a year (yes, I tried changing the batteries)--but I have a tendancy toward gum disease so in addition to a Sonicare toothbrush, this is a very convenient alternative when traveling. I also use it to sanitize the toothbrush I use to clean my mouthguard.

I have had my toothbrush for several years now and have NO complaints. We travel frequently and I take it on every trip and I have yet to replace the battery. My only problem has been finding a replacement tooth brush.
