Who Moved My Cheese?

Who Moved My Cheese?: An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life [Hardcover]

Product Description
With Who Moved My Cheese? Dr. Spencer Johnson realizes the need for finding the language and tools to deal with change--an issue that makes all of us nervous and uncomfortable.

Most people are fearful of change because they don't believe they have any control over how or when it happens to them. Since change happens either to the individual or by the individual, Spencer Johnson shows us that what matters most is the attitude we have about change.

When the Y2K panic gripped the corporate realm before the new millenium, most work environments finally recognized the urgent need to get their computers and other business systems up to speed and able to deal with unprecedented change. And businesses realized that this was not enough: they needed to help people get ready, too.

Spencer Johnson has created his new book to do just that. The coauthor of the multimillion bestseller The One Minute Manager has written a deceptively simple story with a dramatically important message that can radically alter the way we cope with change. Who Moved My Cheese? allows for common themes to become topics for discussion and individual interpretation.

Who Moved My Cheese? takes the fear and anxiety out of managing the future and shows people a simple way to successfully deal with the changing times, providing them with a method for moving ahead with their work and lives safely and effectively.

Good story! By El Tee
Good short story. There's something for everyone yet some do not see themselves in it at all. It can be very personal and can also be very general. I personally enjoyed the story and find my personality traits in various characters in different degrees. I believe that open minded people would enjoy this short story and utilize the lessons well in their personal lives.

Who moved my cheese By G. Bachelard (Saigon, Vietnam)
We are creatures of habit. The status quo appeals and any change makes us feel as trapped. who moved my cheese addresses change that happens regardless of whether we like it or not. How do we cope with change, redundancy, a new working partner, a new baby....sudden illness. As long as we live and breathe nothing is as certain as change. This book is a gift to help us understand the reasons for change and how to cope with even the most dire changes and the unexpected circumstances.

Made me rethink things By Nicole L. Koji
I read this book for my Psychology class. I wish I had read it years ago! It was definitely eye opening.

Full of Wisdom and Entertaining By JOELLEN REEVES (MS)
I really enjoyed this book. It is simple and honest about a subject that I didn't realize until I read it, was a problem for most people concerning change. I don't understand how anyone could "not" love this book, if not for any other reason but to teach their children about this valuable lesson in life. I plan to read it to all my friends, for something different to do other than watching TV. I have not been disappointed by any of Spencer Johnson's books thus far including the ValueTales book set.

excellent
i first read this book when i was working retail. my boss was reading it because her bosses were having all the managers nationwide reading it for motivation. so i asked her if i could read it.needless to say after reading the book i bought it.

Concise and easy to read By Vince Curletta (Bolingbrook, IL USA)
I've read some negative reviews about this book - and if you don't like it or agree with it that's fine. But the book is a simple illustration of what the consequences of resisting or accepting change may be. Change is not always good or bad (and the book doesn't say or imply either), but there is always change, and the author makes that point very clear. I would say it is a good illustration of change and how we should adjust and adapt to it. I'm sorry some of you are dissappointed that you paid money for the book and it's pretty much common sense and very simple. I think it's a good book and I intend to share it with others. I would recommend reading it - whether you buy it yourself or borrow from a friend.
