The Go-Giver

The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea [Hardcover]

Product Description
The Go-Giver tells the story of an ambitious young man named Joe who yearns for success. Joe is a true go-getter, though sometimes he feels as if the harder and faster he works, the further away his goals seem to be. And so one day, desperate to land a key sale at the end of a bad quarter, he seeks advice from the enigmatic Pindar, a legendary consultant referred to by his many devotees simply as the Chairman.

Over the next week, Pindar introduces Joe to a series of “go-givers:” a restaurateur, a CEO, a financial adviser, a real estate broker, and the “Connector,” who brought them all together. Pindar’s friends share with Joe the Five Laws of Stratospheric Success and teach him how to open himself up to the power of giving.

Joe learns that changing his focus from getting to giving—putting others’ interests first and continually adding value to their lives—ultimately leads to unexpected returns.

Imparted with wit and grace, The Go-Giver is a heartwarming and inspiring tale that brings new relevance to the old proverb “Give and you shall receive.”

This was a great read that was quick and easy. The book didn't get lost in detail and was very good at providing learning methods with a story. Loved the book!

I read this book about 5 months ago and it inspired me to buy his second book "The Go-Giver Sells More" this book is nothing less than a little gem of wisdom. I have run all my businesses with the same principles Bob Burg stresses in this book and with great success and ease. by the way I am the author of "Simple No-Cost Marketing Solutions - A Survival Guide for the Small Business Owner"

A Book About Abundance By Laura Banks
Bob Burg is a brilliant author and orator. His opus, "The Go Giver" is a gem of a book, a road map to creating true win-win partnerships in life and business. The lesson is simple, don't give to get, give to give and the getting is ten times more abundant coming from a truly authentic place.

a favorite gift for inspiration By Nanci A. Schwartz (Florida)
This quick, little story is not just for business. We love to give it as gifts to remind and encourage that while your value is not determined only by how much money you earn, the more you focus on providing value to others, the more you will earn. I like to reread it, too. The book is good inspiration on how you can pursue your career dream. I think it's a great foundation especially for someone getting ready to enter their professional career and equally insightful for those of us who have been in the business for a long time.

Great book By Dianne0320
I must say I was referred to this book. I was told it was a quick read and it was. I enjoyed it and I would buy the other two immediately were they cheaper, but almost $18 for the kindle edition for a book you can read in 4 hours is kinda steep.
Just saying!

Great Little Book, Easy Read By cwbrit
Great stories used to show the power of giving and the reciprocity that will be received through giving. If you are starting to network or if you classify yourself as a seasoned networker, this book is a must read. When I started reading this book I could not put it down. Get you thinking, Well written!! Great Job!

Life Principles By N. Butterworth
This book was recommended reading for one starting a new business. It is superb! Additionally, the principles in this book can be applied to augment one's everyday life. I am currently reading the third book in this series and highly recommend all of them.
