My little dog likes to run and run, and run away. I have taken steps to avoid this, but he is quick, and he has escaped despite my precautions. The Tagg collar has helped me locate him quickly, before he could get into trouble. When I can't be with him, knowing his location puts me at ease. He wrestles with an eighty pound pit bull all day long, and his Tagg tracking device has not come off or been damaged. He is just thirteen pounds, but the Tagg device has not been a hindrance at all. He doesn't even notice it.

I find lost dogs for a living, at Three Retrievers Lost Pet Rescue. I have had personal experience with over six hundred missing dogs over the last five years. Most of these losses could have been avoided with the Tagg tracker. I highly recommend the Tagg collar. Other reviewers have noted some technical problems with the device, but I have not experienced any problems in six weeks of use.

One key to the usefulness of this device is the iPhone app. Using my iPhone, I can receive updates minute by minute that guide me to my dog. The device would still work without the smart phone app, but it would be much less convenient and useful.

I was a little apprehensive. But this thing works great. You can set it to text you and email you if the dog gets out of there area. Not only that it shows you exactly where they are at. I highly recommend. I run a dog rescue and I would recommend this to any new dog owner.

Best Pet Purchase i've made in a long time. Works exactly as planned. Purchased two of these when activated was charged full cost for yearly service however Tagg Customer service did make the Add a Pet correction and seem to be quite helpful. Tested with both my beagles and like that i get an address, 15-25ft radius as well as a continuous map to help locate my two boys. Not that they get out of the yard however glad they are now wearing these as I shouldn't have too much trouble locating them. Very happy Tagg Owner.

First of all, the rumor that the Tagg battery life is not very long is not entirely true. The battery can last up to thirty days depending on its usage. Basically, the docking/charging station sends a signal to the Tagg device and puts it in a low-energy state when your pet is in close proximity. When your dog ventures away from the docking station (ex: escapes, stolen, going on walk, etc), the Tagg device turns on the GPS function, which uses a lot of energy. So, as long as your pet is within close proximity of the docking station, you will only need to charge the Tagg device about once a month. You will receive an email or text message to inform you when the battery life is low. The Tagg website has a table showing how usage affects battery life.

I love the Tagg tracker. Very easy to use and helpful to keep track of your pet. My dogs are small, so I was a bit worried about how big the device would be. It is actually pretty easy to use and comfortable for my four legged kids to wear. Also easy to charge when the battery runs out. I particularly like the activity feature. I travel a lot and leave them with their dog sitter, so I can make sure that they are properly exercised. Highly recommend the product!
